چکیده

Abstract Tomato ( Solanum lycopersicum L.) is one of the most consumed vegetables worldwide. The ripening tomato performed for its freshness and represented by color gene expression. In our previous study, we molecular analyses on with without sound-wave treatment. present metabolomics analysis tomatoes treatment to expand knowledge ripening. To achieve this goal, at 7, 10, 14 d were selected analyzed via liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS) gas chromatography–MS (GC–MS). A total 33 major metabolites, including LC–MS- 19 GC–MS-derived assigned based variable importance projection p values subjected statistical analysis. Apparent morphology partial least squares–discriminant consistent general process color. Moreover, showed similar experimental results those studies. quantification metabolites LC–MS decreasing levels adenosine, tryptophan, phytosphingosine upon GC–MS analysis, 4-Aminobutanoic acid aspartic decreased On other way, quantity malic acid, citric sucrose was increased findings study can assist in application delaying improving their market value.

Mass spectrometry-based metabolomics.

This review presents an overview of the dynamically developing field of mass spectrometry-based metabolomics. Metabolomics aims at the comprehensive and quantitative analysis of wide arrays of metabolites in biological samples. These numerous analytes have very diverse physico-chemical properties and occur at different abundance levels. Consequently, comprehensive metabolomics investigations ar...

untargeted. Targeted metabolomics focuses on a subset of metabolites involved in one or more pathways; the chemical identities of metabolites to be measured are known, authentic standards are available in these studies. The goal of untargeted metabolomics is to observe global metabolite profiling differences between sample types, experiments are designed to maximise the coverage of metabolites....

Regulation of tomato fruit ripening

Fruit ripening is a sophisticatedly orchestrated developmental process, unique to plants, that results in major physiological and metabolic changes, ultimately leading to fruit decay and seed dispersal. Because of their strong impact on fruit nutritional and sensory qualities, the ripeningassociated changes have been a matter of sustained investigation aiming at unravelling the molecular and ge...

Informatics for tandem mass spectrometry-based metabolomics

Metabolomics is a rapidly expanding field with applications in areas such as medicine, agriculture, or food safety. Tandem mass spectrometry (MS) is one of the main technologies that drives the field forward. Optionally coupled to a chromatographic element, MS can capture detailed snapshots of an organism’s metabolome. The resulting data sets are complex and difficult to analyse due to the mult...

Effect of salinity on tomato fruit ripening.

Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill) plants from various cultivars growing on half-strength Hoagland solution were exposed at anthesis to 3 or 6 grams per liter NaCl. Salinity shortened the time of fruit development by 4 to 15%. Fruits of salt-treated plants were smaller and tasted better than did fruits of control plants. This result was obtained both for ripe fruits tested on the day of pick...
